ELCORR is accredited for the ISO 9001:2000 Standard but also their (preferred) suppliers are accredited for ISO and/or food safety standards like GMP or BRC/IoP.
Strict procedures and clear instructions give our customers the guarantee for receiving a product which complies with the agreed specifications.
Regarding controls and analysis ELCORR has a fully equipped laboratory where compositions of material are checked, compression can be tested, printing quality / colours is supervised, etc.etc. starting with the raw material up to the end product.
In the process of the corrugating line until the moment of shipment of the end product the process is checked thorough via several automatic and manual controls.
Even the smallest defect is detected instantly in every stage and is corrected to guarantee the high standards and meeting all specifications.
This ongoing quality control ensures the process is optimised and continuously improved.
Food safety plays a very important part in the process and for this ELCORR complies with the International Good Manufacturing Practice Standard (GMP) for Corrugated & Solid Board and the BRC/IoP Standard where guidelines are listed for complying with all legal and relevant legislations / agreements to satisfy market demands for hygienic requirements such as exist in the food industry.

Regarding the environment Smurfit Kappa ELCORR complies with all legal national and EU-regulations and the company promotes the use of packing materials that keeps a balance from a environmental view. Used materials like inks, glue etc. are naturally and biodegradable.
Of course the recycling of paper and board is  very important to close the loop.
